It has come to knowledge from the sources that Polygon, the well-known online marketplace of the jewelry industry has conjoined with the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, better known as the JVC, for the proffering of the dispute resolution to the members of Polygon on the basis of the requirement.

Polygon is the largest online marketplace for business-to-business trading in the gem and jewelry industry operating in the jewelry industry for the last 22 years at a stretch. On Polygon, seller's list inventories of their products and buyers search based on their needs but actual business transactions are limited to members. Only legitimate gem and jewelry companies are allowed access and it is closed to consumers. The company is in operation in the U.S. since 1984 and is now expanding into Asia, South Africa, the Middle East, and Russia as a joint venture with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre.

While speaking to Jacques Voorhees, the CEO of Polygon over the obtained information he said,"We have an in-house method where members can work out their differences. But, we know that some of our cases will need more legal and mediation expertise than we are able to provide inside Polygon. For these reasons, we're proud to announce that we've formally chosen JVC as our outside arbitrator. We know our members will benefit from the JVC's vast experience in this area." On the other hand the Executive Director and General Counsel of JVC said, "Annually, the JVC deals with over 400 cases that need resolution. Our goal is to successfully mediate between the two parties to ensure a mutually acceptable resolution. And, in most cases, the two parties are willing to do business with each other again as a result of our expertise in this arena."

It has been understood that with the intensification of the disputes between the members the first and foremost step shall be to proceed through the Polygon resolution system for the search of a definite explanation. Again, if it found that the subject by any means happens to go beyond the basic capabilities of the in-house system of the Polygon, in that case the matter shall be referred to JVC for the final decision. It is to be noted in this respect that on everyday the members of Polygon happen to buy and also sell more than the total amount of several million dollars over commodities without the slightest occurrence of any such problem. As a concluding note the CEO of Polygon said, "While very few of our member's transactions result in problems, we wanted to have a comprehensive system in place, should the need arise."
