Motorola Designates New President of Mobile Devices Business

Motorola, Inc. the renowned frontrunner in wireless and broadband communications today announced here of the nomination of Mr. Stu Reed as the President of Motorola's Mobile Devices Business with immediate effect. It is to be noted, that Stu is at present is Executive Vice President of Motorola's Integrated Supply Chain organization. He, as far the latest decision taken and disclosed on the behalf of the Company will report straightforwardly to Mr. Greg Brown, the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Motorola Inc.

Tracking the profile of Stu Reed. It has come to the knowledge that from the definite period of April, 2005 Reed has been instrumental in providing leadership to the conversion of Motorola's supply chain organization, which takes account of the global operations that remain associated with procurement, new product introduction, manufacturing and customer fulfillment. In addition, Reed , in addition, excelled in helping the company in the generation of   noteworthy cost savings through the effectual consolidation of suppliers and in the course of implementation of a comprehensive supply chain strategy. Before his present venture with the Motorola Reed was associated with the IBM Corporation for more than 20 years at a stretch in the designation of executive in an assortment of aspects concerning manufacturing; strategy, process and information technology; and systems and software products. It was at the IBM that he became renowned as a thought leader and the key person towards the implementation of any viable strategy.

In this regard, it is also to be mentioned that Rita Lane, the continuing Corporate Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for Motorola, has been nominate for leading the Integrated Supply Chain organization of Motorola.
