Jamie Gold "All In" for 2008 Hedge Fund/Hillel Charity Poker ?

Rumor at the tables--not your typical Wall Street Activist deal involving William Ackman or David Tepper.  Ackman, Tepper, and David Einhorn took part in a charity poker fundraiser for DC-Based Hillel which brought in $400,000 a month ago.

Rumor in Las Vegas is Jamie Gold, the 2006 WSOP Champ is being recruited for the event along with Renaissance Technologies head Jim Simons, with a goal of $4 million charity fundraiser and a 'Pokerati of Wall Street' TV series with Fox Business Channel.

Einhorn placed 18th in the 2006 WSOP giving his $650,000 to charity.  Gold took the highest purse in sports history of $12 million the same year, placing first.

180 Wall Streeters took part in the Hillel Charity fundraiser on June 20 with accountant Peter Dougherty of Appaloosa Management winning the event.
