SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. Nominates Motorola

Motorola, Inc. the renowned frontrunner in wireless and broadband communications today announced here that the well-known Japanese telecoms provider SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. has nominated Motorola's Horizon 3G-i residential solution for the sake of its femto cellular media demonstration.

Motorola is renowned throughout the world for its innovative techniques and leadership in wireless and broadband communications. Being inspired by the vision of Seamless Mobility, the name of Motorola has become synonymous to get and stay connected simply and seamlessly to the people, information, and entertainment. The Company while at the press announcement stated that the UMTS/HSxPA Femto node-Bs are small form-factor cellular base stations that do get utilized for providing the indoor coverage for 3G UMTS/HSxPA users. Shinji Ogura, the President of Motorola Japan, emphasized on the prospect that the utilization of g a single Horizon 3G-i residential solution, service providers like SOFTBANK shall be able to expedite the migration to the future flat architecture network that could eventually integrate multiple connectivity systems that include DSL, WiFi and 3G UMTS/HsxPA. He concluded through saying in his own words, "With this level of service flexibility, users will not need to worry about replacing their existing mobile with a dual mode mobile device that supports WiFi and other technologies to enjoy seamless mobility."
