Motorola, Inc. the renowned frontrunner in wireless and broadband communications at the NXTcomm 2007 here today has announced of the next generation of its proven high-density all IP optical access platform's support of Gigabit Passive Optical Networking (GPON), a 200 Gigabit or Gb advanced switching architecture with onboard high-capacity single and ten Gb WAN interfaces. It has also announced in this respect of its support of ten Gb to each application unit tat shall be resulting in full GPON line-rate throughput to the access network. In addition, the Motorola, as has been reported is destined in the introduction a smart and fully featured line of small business, high-density multi-dwelling units and both indoor and outdoor single family home GPON optical network terminals or ONTs. Motorola is renowned throughout the world for its innovative techniques and leadership in wireless and broadband communications. Being inspired by the vision of Seamless Mobility, the name of Motorola has become synonymous to get and stay connected simply and seamlessly to the people, information, and entertainment. The company excels in this by designing and delivering "must have" products, "must do" experiences, and powerful networks -- along with a full complement of support services. According to the topmost echelon of the Motorola Inc., the novel GPON solution portfolio is highly dependent on the strength of Motorola's industry deployed AXS2200 optical access technology for the expansion of the accessible WAN and access network throughput capacity that is imperatively needed for the simple delivery of advanced ultra-broadband services. It has been averred in this respect that both the platform hardware and software have already been able to prove their towering and excelled performance and reliability towards the triumphant, large-scale video, broadband Internet along with its elevated quality voice deployments. The Motorola GPON solution being built to advocate without a glitch for the extensive rates of growth in unicast video content and ultra-broadband Internet access, has been optimized in its sustaining of the dynamic video traffic patterns and sustained subscriber throughput of 200 Mbps symmetrical, with burst rate capacity of up to 400 Mbps. Speaking to the press Kevin Keefe, the acclaimed Vice President of Marketing, Motorola Home and Networks Mobility said, "Our next-generation optical access platform is video-optimized and designed to power advanced services into the connected home. Ultra-Broadband capacity is crucial as demand grows for high-definition content, time-shifted television and converged IP applications. With our new GPON solution, we've significantly boosted processing and capacity to meet that demand, while still relying on the technology platform that service providers have grown to trust over the course of several years and successful traditional video and IPTV implementations."
