Motorola, Inc. the renowned frontrunner in wireless and broadband communications today announced here of the latest additions to its portfolio of pre-integrated and validated AdvancedTCA® (ATCA®) communications servers. The Company has affirmed in this respect that Motorola's new CentellisTM 4100 10GbE platform adds together the aptitude of speaking to a broader range of data plane applications while releasing 3.2 of the Centellis 3000 series for the delivery of amplified processing and memory capabilities when it is compared to the preceding generation Motorola communications servers.

Motorola is renowned throughout the world for its innovative techniques and leadership in wireless and broadband communications. Being inspired by the vision of Seamless Mobility, the name of Motorola has become synonymous to get and stay connected simply and seamlessly to the people, information, and entertainment. The company excels in this by designing and delivering "must have" products, "must do" experiences, and powerful networks -- along with a full complement of support services.

It has been found that this Centellis 4100 communications server platform has been the first product in the Centellis 4000 family and is in particular designed to concentrate on the requirements of the next generation of telecommunications industry applications along with 10Gbps Ethernet switching technology. The Centellis 4100 can make possible Network Equipment Providers or NEPs to put forward applications that have the need of high bandwidth interconnect, such as data plane infrastructure in wireless broadband, 4G wireless, WiMAX and IPTV Networks, on a standards-based common platform. Through the extension of the range of applications that can be addressed by the communications servers, the Centellis 4100 makes easier for the NEPs in the speeding up of the resettlement of the service providers to a standards-based carrier-grade common platform for their product portfolio.

Speaking to this correspondent, the Executive Officer of the Network Systems Company at Oki Electric Industry Masasuke Kishi said, "OKI is delighted that Motorola has released its latest version of Centellis 3000 and 4000 Series ATCA communications servers. OKI has already adopted Motorola's Centellis 3000 ATCA communications server as a platform of our Session Border Controller CenterStage® NX3200. We will continue to adopt Motorola's platform, which assures carrier-grade reliability by integrating Carrier Grade Linux distribution, comprehensive centralized platform management and high-availability fabric management in an SA Forum compliant platform. We look forward to adding value to our products using this latest version of the platform."
